The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on January 22 that it has conditionally approved BTS’s comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square in March.

During the city’s advisory meeting, officials reviewed HYBE and BigHit Music’s application for the event titled “BTS 2026 Comeback Show @ Seoul” and agreed to allow the venue’s use under certain conditions.

Final approval will be granted once the safety management plan is approved. The city asked for measures to prevent crowd congestion during entry and exit times and to minimize traffic disruptions.

Because a large crowd is expected, Seoul will carefully review safety plans and work with the police, Jongno District Office, and other agencies to ensure public safety.

The city will also conduct on-site inspections to prevent unfair practices such as overpriced hotel rooms and to manage traffic and public safety.
These inspections will focus on:
•Jongno District (280 locations)
•Jung District (411 locations)

The goal is to reduce inconvenience for both citizens and visiting tourists.
