Swift Actors CBO joined the 16 Days of Activism with a powerful community forum bringing youths and women together to speak out against Gender-Based Violence.
It was an active discussions, awareness talks, and shared commitments to build a safer, more informed community.
Swift Actors continues to champion GBV prevention, mental health awareness, and empowerment for all.

Today, Swift Actors CBO held a community meeting that brought together women, youth, and parents from the neighborhood. The turnout was strong, with the room fully packed as participants listened and shared openly. Many mothers attended with their children, showing their commitment despite daily struggles.
During the session, community members discussed major issues affecting their daily lives—such as unemployment, rising living costs, limited opportunities for youth, and challenges facing families. A key concern raised was Gender-Based Violence (GBV), which continues to impact many households and requires urgent awareness, support, and action.
The meeting created a safe and supportive space for learning, speaking out, and exploring solutions, as Swift Actors continues working to uplift and protect the community.

Today, Swift Actors conducted hands-on farming activities in Mathare, focusing on the planting of new vegetable seedlings to make use of the ongoing rainy season. The team worked together to prepare the soil, plant seedlings, and care for the existing crops in their sack gardens. This initiative is part of Swift Actors’ continuous effort to promote urban farming, food security, and environmental sustainability within the community.
