I’ve been watching the TV series , and now that I’m in Season 4, I’m beginning to feel this is not just entertainment.

The show explores two powerful AI systems: one designed to protect human life (the machine) and prevent crimes, and another that believes humanity can only be saved through control and surveillance (Samaritan).

This contrast raises deeper questions about technology and power.

Is the show predicting the possibility of Artificial General Intelligence?
An intelligence that could make decisions, act strategically, and possibly resist being shut down?

It also explores the theme of good AI vs misused AI, showing how technology can either protect people or be used by those with the wrong intentions.

One episode even shows how algorithms could manipulate vulnerable people, reminding us that technology reflects the values of those who design and deploy it.

Science fiction often tries to communicate something about the future.
Think about The Terminator — years ago, the idea of humanoid robots felt distant, yet today, companies are actively building advanced humanoid robots.

For me, shows like this are not just entertainment.
They are reflections on where technology could take humanity — and why ethics and responsibility must grow alongside innovation.
