t our grandmother tried her level best to offer us the best life possible. Grandmother (Esther Nasaba) used to brew the illicit brew chang'aa so that she can raise enough money to raise our school fees and buy us food and other basic needs. At times it would get bad that we survived on sugarless porridge for a meal and if we are lucky to get some flour we use weeds as vegetables to accompany the small ugali. Because of the hard childhood life it made me work really hard in school so that someday life will become better and for sure my hard work paid off and now I can enjoy the fruits. Growing up I never had interest in music as such but when I joined high school I somehow found myself singing in the C.U choir. I started singing again when I joined the NGCI choir in the year 2009. My journey as a musician started when a prophesy was made by one of the church elders Titus Katembu who is now a pastor at NGCI utawala. In 2010 I released my first album called Mchungaji wangu with the song Buyanzi which won the Groove Western Song of the year award which I dedicated to the church that massively supported me by voting tirelessly. The song was also nominated in the same category the following year but did not win. After that I have done several singles and now planning to launch a second album called Nguzo. For sure I have tested the faithfulness of the Lord and I will praise my God for as long as I leave because I am a living testimony.
