Hot climatic conditions can affect the design and construction of buildings in a variety of ways. Buildings in hot climates need to be designed to keep the interior cool and comfortable, which can be achieved through passive cooling strategies such as proper orientation, shading, ventilation and adequate headroom among others, as well as active cooling systems such as air conditioning.

Additionally, building materials and technologies that are well-suited to hot climates need to be used, such as those that have high thermal mass and reflectivity, and can withstand high temperatures and humidity.

We worked on a proposed residential development a few kilometers from Namanga in Kajiado County. Our attempt at providing a solution that caters to the spatial needs and pays attention to the site conditions is visible from the shared 3d impressions.
The introduction of a water feature and a swimming pool ensures the users maintain their cool one way or another. 😅
