As Kenya hosts the National Prayer Breakfast, what prayer would you make for Kenya?

This is the reaction from UDA supporters to Uhuru's remark about the nation moving in the wrong direction😅

That man is exactly the type of Kenyan we need going forward: straightforward, courageous, and firm. CS Opiyo Wandayi tried to ambush the Matatu Owners Association leaders and force compliance through a public appearance.

If that brave man hadn’t spoken up and clarified that the government had conned them, the narrative would have been spun successfully.

This country will only be fixed by such honest and fearless voices, not by fake experts and political spin doctors.

Irungu Kangata is a smart politician. He'll get his second term as Governor for Muranga.
He knows his people to be an emotional battalion that only votes on hate, revenge, punishment and tribal entitlement. Never on issues.

He knows that it doesn't matter how much development he has done, actually being the best Governor since devolution and by far. He knows that if he doesn't tag along the tribal line as concerns the political climate, his goose is cooked.

His decision to leave the ruling party should be well understood by every political mind.

Kikuyus didn't vote for Ruto in 2022 because they loved that he was the visionary leader that he is. No, they voted for him because they hated Raila so much and wanted to punish Uhuru so much for trying to impose him on them.

In 2027, they'll vote for anything that stands against Ruto not necessarily because they love the person but to punish the Ruto they hate with so much unfounded bile. So Kangata does not want to be a casualty of the same.

In 2027, it won't matter what Ruto has done in terms of development in that region. That's why I believe Ruto's trips and projects in that part of the country are a waste of his time and resources if he thinks they'll translate into votes. They won't. At least Kangata and Ndindi Nyoro should be the yardstick for measuring UDA prospects in the mountain...

Those are emotional voters from the mountain for you and Kangata wa Barua knows that best.

All in all, Kangata also knows Ruto will get his second term. He just doesn't want it to come at his expense in losing the Gubernatorial race then.

Something just shifted in Kenya’s elections conversation.

Senator Okiya Omtatah has gone to court — not over politics, but over the final step of power.

He is asking a simple but uncomfortable question:
If results are declared at the polling station… why are they still “handled” in Nairobi?

---

This is not about forms.
This is about trust.

The space between what wananchi see…
and what is finally announced.

---

If this argument holds, it changes everything:
👉 Results become final closer to the people
👉 The “last mile” becomes less powerful
👉 The system becomes harder to manipulate

---

But it also raises a deeper issue:

Have we been voting…
or waiting for confirmation from somewhere else?

---

This case is not noise.
It is a direct challenge to how Kenya understands elections.

---

❓ At what point does the people’s vote become untouchable?

---

If you’ve read this far, you’re part of the conversation. Share it forward and follow for more grounded Kenyan reflections.
Clarity over noise.
