We are committed to the holistic development of adolescents and young people through community-based programs that address their educational, social, and emotional needs, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a foundation for a thriving future.
For the past two years, our library has been a vital learning space for young people in Kibera.
We provide access to textbooks and juvenile literature, a computer for online research and digital resources, a mentorship program that supports young people in navigating the challenges of adolescence with confidence, and creative programs that spark curiosity and nurture talent.
As one of our main funding cycles comes to an end, we’re turning to our community to help sustain this vital space.
Help us keep our doors open in 2026 and continue giving children and adolescents in Kibera the chance to thrive!

We launched an appeal on behalf of our friends at Karama Academy, and Taking Football to Africa and Beyond immediately responded.
As part of our mission to advance positive youth development across schools in Kenya, we know that building self-esteem and resilience starts with listening to what young people care about.
Since we began working with Karama Academy earlier this year through the I Matter program, we’ve been inspired by their commitment to nurturing young talent through sports and by the incredible drive of their football team.
Thank you, Taking Football to Africa and Beyond, for the joy you brought to the field! The players were thrilled to receive the football kits, and even more to know that their efforts are being noticed and appreciated!
