He wanted a set of 5.0 speakers because he already had 2 subs. The issue is, the subs were poorly done, not only did they look bad, they sounded awful too🤮. With the new 5.0 set looking and sounding amazing, he either had to throw away the subs and get new ones or.. we'll, I agreed to fix his. It's a RESCUE THE SUB mission.

Not only are they beautiful, but they sound great too, am sure that's how Sony would want it. These drivers are from sony's Xplod series. Fitted them with my 400W RMS plate amp, tuned the box and the DSP to optimise it's performance and the owner had to collect his jaws from the floor 😲😱when he heard and saw them. Nothing beats the sight of a happy customer 🙂🙂, mission accomplished 💪🏾Thank you!!

At last we now have P212 and P312, these two were the missing models to complete our journey for developing worthy subwoofers for home use out of the very capable drivers by Rockford Fosgate.

Now we have a complete line up for the 12" subs... P112, P212 and P312. You are spoilt for choice!😉

Those who have acquired P112 will tell you it's a no joker, it moves impressive amounts of air for it's size. Now imagine P212 taking that performance a notch higher from P112!

🔘P212
P212 delivers some clean 400W of power thanks to the robust class D amplification that we've developed from scratch. This amp features a modern state of the art chip from Texas Instruments, a 32bit ARM based MCU from ST and the heart of the system is a dedicated 28/56 bit, 50 MIPS DSP from Analog Devices. This DSP has a 56 but accumulator making it possible to do full double-precision processing!!, how awesome 😇. To put it in plain English, just know it's super accurate ensuring signal integrity without loss of information.

P212 has dual port design ensuring optimum performance that is noise free, max velocity of 18.4m/s @ 24.2hz with Pmax of 350W. Also the port tuning allows F3 of 26.3hz, F6 of 23.8hz and F10 of 21.6hz. These are quasi-anechoic measurements, means measurements taken devoid of the room. Obviously you will use the sub in a room, every room has what we call room gain, therefore in-room response for almost all rooms will be much better, most rooms will comfortably produce F3 of 20hz and below, how sweet!.

🔘P312
P312 is the top guy in this series in the 12" category, taking the performance of P212 even higher with the same amplifier as its big brother the P315! It puts out some clean 600W. You can check the features of this amp in the post for P315. The only difference here is the program running on the DSP, have rewrite it to match the 12" design since the enclosure is dual port tuned, and much smaller than that of P315. If you wanted that ultimate performance but P315 was too big, then this guy is you guy 💪🏼💪🏼

P312 is impressively noise free. No port noise nor those unwanted distortions, Vmax is only 17.6m/s @ 23.2hz, Pmax of 500W. The quasi-anechoic response is as follows,
F3 = 21.8hz, F6 = 19.2hz, F10 = 17hz. Amazing performance yet it even gets better once it's in a room!!
