President William Ruto has assented to Value added tax ( Amendment) Bill 2026 at State House, Nairobi, lowering VAT on Fuel from 16 percent to 8 percent in the aim to deal with uproar which rose following the rise on Fuel prices.

President William Ruto: Rolling out the Affordable Housing Programme would not have been possible without partnerships with county governments. He noted that approvals for housing projects takes shortest time due to standardization of processes and agreements with counties. The President made the remarks while speaking yesterday at the Second Africa Urban Forum held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
