At IBC Group, we had the pleasure of facilitating and organizing the visit of an official delegation from the Iraqi Ministry of Trade and accompanying them throughout their program.

As part of the program, the delegation visited the manufacturing facilities of Bühler Group in Switzerland to review progress on the Five Metal Silos Project, focusing on production stages and the implementation of the electromechanical equipment and materials designated for the project.

The delegation was headed by Dr. Haider Nouri Al-Karaawi, Director General of the State Company for Grain Trading, accompanied by the Ministry’s Director General of the Legal Department and several engineering and legal officials.

Meetings with the company’s executive management addressed completion rates, legal and logistical procedures, and ways to accelerate work in line with the approved timelines while ensuring adherence to the required technical specifications.

The delegation also emphasized the importance of completing the silos on schedule due to their role in expanding Iraq’s grain storage capacity and supporting food security, while confirming readiness to facilitate the entry of materials through Umm Qasr Port and their transport to the provinces to avoid logistical delays.

وفي إطار البرنامج، زار الوفد منشآت التصنيع التابعة لمجموعة بوهلر في سويسرا للاطلاع على التقدم المحرز في مشروع الصوامع الخمسة المعدنية، مع التركيز على مراحل الإنتاج وتركيب المعدات والمواد الكهروميكانيكية المخصصة للمشروع.

وترأس الوفد الدكتور حيدر نوري الكراوي، المدير العام للشركة الحكومية لتجارة الحبوب، برفقة المدير العام للإدارة القانونية بالوزارة وعدد من المسؤولين الهندسيين والقانونيين.

وتناولت الاجتماعات مع الإدارة التنفيذية للشركة معدلات الإنجاز والإجراءات القانونية واللوجستية، وسبل تسريع العمل بما يتماشى مع الجداول الزمنية المعتمدة مع ضمان الالتزام بالمواصفات الفنية المطلوبة.

كما شدد الوفد على أهمية إنجاز الصوامع في الموعد المحدد نظراً لدورها في توسيع طاقة تخزين الحبوب في العراق ودعم الأمن الغذائي، مع التأكيد على الاستعداد لتسهيل دخول المواد عبر ميناء أم قصر ونقلها إلى المحافظات لتجنب التأخيرات اللوجستية.
