These children and parents are from low income houses who need assistance with educational supplies, and as we all know education is very important to the development and welfare of all individuals. The parents and faculties are struggling to provide for their children. Both of my parents were teachers in these areas, and this really hits home. The New Year is upon us and it’s that time of the year where I ask everyone for their generosity towards the Bag Pack program. The program started in 2015 and serviced over a hundred students. Last year the program serviced over two hundred children in the Port Maria area. We are looking forward to double that number this year. Yes, I know it’s early, however the bag packs must be shipped by early – mid June allowing time for shipping and distribution.
We will accept any form of donations including physical bag packs and school supplies (preferred) and any amount of donations. We estimate one bag pack to cost approximately $15 USD, this includes all the supplies needed for a child.
Again, I want to thank all the donors who supported the project last year and we are looking forward to a successful 2017.
Supplies includes
Bag pack, crayons, pencils, pen, markers, note books, erasers, sharpers, rulers, etc.
