As we turned the corner onto our road, the man with the cutlass shouted, 'mi did see when the ting fly aufff!! Our hearts skipped a beat. Then we saw it. Zinc everywhere, twisted and beaten and crumpled like tin foil, we then looked up and just stared in bewilderment. The whole warehouse roof was gone, leaving just a carcass of a frame.
Thanks to the wisdom of our fearless leader, Ms. Jan , most things inside the warehouse were covered with a tarp before the hurricane hit, but the rest was soaked! Some breakables did break, but in general, most things were OK. We've spent the last few weeks washing and drying and salvaging what can be salvaged. The rest can be replaced.
All this being said, we are so grateful for our JM Floral family. The guys have worked tirelessly to get us all up and running for the upcoming holiday season. So, thankfully, we're back and ready go🙏
