Increased funding for Islanders to switch to low carbon heat pumps

Islanders with a fossil fuel heating system can now apply for up to £9,000 match funding towards a heat pump.

The grant for heat pumps has increased from £5,000 to £9,000 in an aim to encourage Islanders to switch. Islanders who have already applied for a grant on or after 1 November 2024 will be able to receive the incentive at the new rate.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) will become mandatory at point of sale or rental in Jersey in 2026!

The government are offering up to £150 funding per property towards a Home Energy Audit. The funding is dependant on the size of your home.

£100 for 1 to 2 bedroom property
£150 for 3 or more bedroom property

This subsidy amount will gradually decrease until EPCS become mandatory, so we'll worth taking advantage of the scheme now!

Once you have an EPC you can also take advantage of the government's "low carbon heating incentive" that they are offering to help move households away from fossil fuels.

Those with a fossil fuel heating system can then apply for up to £5,000 match funding towards a low carbon alternative.
