Deighton Racing

Yesterday I decided to race at Greenwood Valley Action Tracks in the Non Wing and Winged 600. The night went from good, to disappointing, to fantastic.

Non Wing:

Practice: Really solid felt like I had the car where I needed it.

Heat: 5-9 Had a very fast car but made way to many driver mistakes which would end up putting me deep in the hole for the Feature.

Feature: 23-8 Started in the way back and had to push myself toward. The car was on rails and was able to gain 15 positions to finish 8th from 23rd.

Winged:

Practice: Very Good one of the fastest cars on the track.

Heat: 9-7 Car was handling good and was fast but hitting the chip was killing me.

Feature: 22-10 Again I had to work myself toward the front of the pack. Car was hooked up and passing cars left and right. Starting 22nd and finishing 10th.

All in all, the night didn’t start off great at all but in the end it turned around really quickly. Also with me gaining 15 positions in Non Wing Class and 12 positions in Winged Class gave me the hard charger for both classes.

Next Weekend I head to GVAT again with both cars and maybe Kutztown on Wednesday with the non wing car.
