This month Madison visits possibly the most noir Radio Drama of the time, certainly one of the most associated with New York, Broadway is my Beat! (Yes! I'm in this one!! 😁). The monologues are easily the most literary of radio plays of the era, which made for a unique listening experience.

When I was in Junior High (Chapel Hill School in Lincoln Park, NJ). I memorized the Declaration of Independence for the Bicentennial, because I thought it was the right thing to do. (Thank you, Ms. Greco and Mr. Van Orden for the inspiration). I can only recite some from memory these days, BUT listening to recordings of performances is my favorite way of memorizing. Maybe I'll relearn it.
