The project, co-funded by the European Union, aims to improve the inclusion and quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, mental disorders and other fragilities through dance and sport. It was created with the aim of improving the inclusion and quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, mental disorders and other fragilities through dance, especially tango, and sport
as a holistic approach that promotes physical, emotional and social well-being. Specifically, the project aims to improve the well-being of 60 people with intellectual disabilities, mental disorders and other frailties in the target communities by developing and implementing an innovative tango-based inclusion model that will have a beneficial impact within the target population by improving physical and mental health outcomes. The expected outcomes are a tango-based rehabilitation model tailored to the specific needs of the target group that promotes physical rehabilitation and emotional and psychological well-being. The target group consists of people with intellectual disabilities, mental disorders and other frailties and their families; social, sports or health workers; and institutional or private (profit and nonprofit) stakeholders active in sports, health, inclusion and other fields relevant to the project (such as associations for people with disabilities, sports clubs, nonprofit organizations, etc.).
