Three years ago, a sudden wind brought down our pine tree, a being meant to stand two or three centuries, cut short after only sixty years. Its fall was a quiet shock, but also a revelation. Even in its brief life, the tree carried a steadfast presence: a living spirit that endured storms, seasons, and the long passage of time.
Its ending became a reminder of what we often forget, that every life, no matter its length, is touched by forces beyond our control. And yet within each of us, there is a deeper life that does not fall so easily: an inner source of strength, a quiet rootedness that keeps reaching for light even in the coldest seasons.
This is where the work meets the spirit of Christmas. In many traditions, the pine symbolizes renewal, a promise that life continues beneath the surface, that hope endures through darkness. The tree becomes a bridge between the material and the spiritual, between the visible world and the one that lives quietly within us. 🙏✨
