In Spring 2005 the band released its first work "We Declare Destruction"; the demo tape was a success and Fenriz from Darkthrone mentioned Gort as one of the best realities in the Italian Black Metal scene [Grind Zone, April 2006 issue]. In 2006 Obscuritatis Daemonium [bass] joined the band with Lord Lemory focused only on the vocals. Four other works were released were made including the debut al
bum "Sixth Day's Cancer" in 2008. In 2009 Obscuritatis Daemonium left the band replaced by M.D.(ma) and in 2010 a split album with the Lombard black metal act Umbra Noctis was released via Novecento Produzioni/Neapolis Niger. The same year M.D.(ma) left the band, replaced by Gore Mageddon. In 2011 Vinz from the Neapolitan Thrash Black Metal band Deflagrator entered the band on bass. The same year the band recorded its second album "Pestiferous Worms Miasma". In 2012 a promo CD of the album was released for the labels in the meanwhile Gort partecipated to a 4-way split tape by HOD Productions entitled "Sigillum Solis - An Italian Black Metal Alliance". After 8 years with the band Lord Lemory left the band due to personal reasons and Illness was taken as his substitute. In 2016 "Pestiferous Worms Miasma" was finally released for Lupus Niger Prod. In 2017 Vinz left the band, too, and Eurystheus took his place ass bassist. The same year the band released its first EP "A Morte Ad Mortem". In 2021 the band released its third full-length "Humanitas Dolor Mundi" for the Ukrainian label Vacula Productions. At the end of 2022 Illness and Eurystheus left the band with Einherjar Ingvar taking the role of bassist on studio recordings.
