18th century Italian gilded Rococo scroll fragment mounted on a crystal quartz base with fire crystal quartz. The gilded fragment originally came from a historical church in Italy. It has been put together with the crystal specimens to create a historic and organic, sculptural work of art.

Interi 17th century Italian hand-carved and gilded crown adorned with natural-forming baroque pearls and cross-shaped baroque pearls with smoky quartz crystal points. It is mounted on a coordinating smoky quartz crystal base.
Pictured is the piece displayed in the Ticci Chapel in Museo de’ Medici’s Monastery of Santa Maria degli Angeli which features frescoes by Bernardino Poccetti.
This piece is part of The Crown Collection, which is exhibiting with the Museo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy until June 28th. It was originally from a historical Italian church and would have been a part of a depiction of Mary or a saint or an architectural element on a tabernacle or altar. The piece creates a figurative, organic, and historic work of art especially displayed in the Museo de' Medici Ticci chapel - bringing the piece back to its original context. 🤍
