📌 Islamabad, IRNA – Despite serious differences between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, the negotiations are continuing intensively through exchange of messages between the two parties, an informed source tells IRNA.

The talks are continuing at around midnight local time, said the IRNA correspondent in Islamabad.

The source familiar with the talks in Islamabad added that Washington’s addiction to excessive demands has impeded progress in the talks.

The Iranian delegation is offering the American team the last opportunities so as to assess their seriousness in reaching a framework for advancing negotiations.

Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, is hosting a new round of talks between high-level delegations from Iran and the United States, aimed at achieving a lasting peace after a 40-day war imposed by the US and the Israeli regime on Iran. The two sides of the war agreed to a two-week long ceasefire proposed by Pakistan.

The diplomatic initiative, first proposed by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, came to fruition after weeks of covert and overt mediation by Islamabad and began today, Saturday, April 11, 2026.
