The national security committee of Iran’s parliament has approved the general outline of a bill meant to fully suspend Tehran’s cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, the state-linked Tasnim news agency reports.

Breaking News: Iran said it launched an attack on Al Udeid Air Base, an American base in Qatar that is the largest U.S. military post in the Middle East, according to its state media.

Military analysts believe that, at this stage, Iran does not see a heavy response against the U.S. or a strike intended to cause casualties as a logical or rational move — as it would likely trigger direct American involvement in the conflict. Instead, this attack appears to have been a warning, aimed at deterring any further U.S. bombardment of Iranian territory. It seems that Iran intends to focus all its attention and efforts on Israel.
