My dear Farideh,

First of all, I want to congratulate you on the blessed birth anniversary of Lady Fatima.

Honestly, words fail me when I try to describe your sacrifices, your wisdom in managing our family, and your patience and strength—especially everything you’ve endured for the sake of the country.

I truly believe I can never repay all that you’ve done. I just hope that God, in His mercy, will make up for my shortcomings.

Over these past forty-something years since the revolution, there have hardly been any days when the responsibilities of my work allowed us to have a normal, peaceful life—especially now, with this harsh war caused by Israel and the United States.

All the worries you’ve had to carry, along with my long absences from home, have made things even harder. But your patience, your strength, and your wisdom have made all of this more bearable.

I deeply appreciate your sacrifices, your thoughtfulness, and your kindness. You hold a special place in my heart, and you know that your position in my life is above all else.

I have always been proud to have a wife like you—someone so knowledgeable, pure, and generous.

I thank God for blessing me with someone so precious, both in character and in presence.

My children and I all kiss your kind hands with love and hold them to our eyes in respect.

Whenever you have the chance, please visit the families of the martyrs, especially during these difficult times, give them my regards, and see if there’s anything you can help them with.

Condolence Message from Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Mujtaba Husayni Khamenei (H), on the Martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani (r), Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, His Son, and Some Colleagues

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“Do not consider those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead; rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.”

With profound sorrow, I received the heartbreaking news of the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and the Representative of the Leadership in that council, along with his distinguished son and some colleagues. He was a scholar, farsighted, intelligent, deeply committed, and possessed diverse experience across political, military, security, cultural, and managerial fields. Nearly five decades of active service in various layers of the Islamic system made him an exceptional figure.

Undoubtedly, the assassination of such a personality reflects his importance and the hatred of the enemies of Islam toward him. Let Islam’s adversaries know that shedding this blood only strengthens the tree of the Islamic system, and every drop of blood carries its due, which the criminal murderers of the martyrs will soon have to answer for. I sincerely offer my condolences to his honorable wife, all his children, and other relatives, especially to Ayatullah Amoli Larijani, and I pray to Allah Almighty for the highest ranks for those who have departed.

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian mourned the martyrdom of Ali Larijani, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, describing him as a "prominent and influential figure who, throughout his career, offered wide-ranging and impactful services in the roles he took on."

He emphasized that throughout his tenure at the Supreme National Security Council, Larijani "dedicated all his efforts to advancing regional peace and security."

The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council had announced Larijani as a martyr earlier tonight; he had been the target of a US-Israeli aggression that took place overnight Monday.

Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has been martyred.

«مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلا»

ارتقى عبدٌ من عبادِ الله الى ربّه، ثابتًا مقدامًا لا يتراجع، مُقبلاً غير مدبر، مشتبكًا حتى اللحظةِ الأخيرة.

The martyrdom of the combatants of the Navy of the Islamic Republic Army in Dena is part of the sacrifices of the courageous nation, which has emerged at this stage in confronting the international tyrants… Their memory will always remain in the heart of the Iranian people, and these martyrdoms strengthen the building of the Islamic Republic Army for many years within the structure of the armed forces.
