𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, 𝟬𝟰.𝟬𝟳.𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: Continuing its sustained drive against drug abuse under the '𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗸𝘁 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂 & 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗻', District Police Reasi has registered three separate cases under the NDPS Act against individuals found consuming narcotic substances within the jurisdiction of Police Station Reasi.

Acting on reliable information, Police Station Reasi received inputs that Rakesh Sharma, S/o Satpal Sharma, R/o Gran Morh, Reasi, had consumed narcotic substances near IRP Chowk, Reasi. A police team immediately reached the spot, apprehended the individual, and subjected him to a medical examination using a Rapid Multi Drug Urine Test Kit. The test confirmed that he was under the influence of Ma*****na. Accordingly, FIR No. 127/2026 under Section 8/27 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Reasi.

The accused is a habitual offender and has previously been involved in the following cases:
FIR No. 162/2024 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act.
FIR No. 163/2024 under Section 303(1) of the BNS.
FIR No. 62/2025 under Sections 303(2) and 324(3) of the BNS.

In another similar action, Police Station Reasi apprehended Parkash Singh, S/o Mohan Singh, R/o Gran Morh, Reasi, from near his residence at Gran Morh and subjected him to a medical examination using a Rapid Multi Drug Urine Test Kit, which returned a positive result. Consequently, FIR No. 126/2026 under Section 8/27 of the NDPS Act was registered.

The accused has a criminal history and has previously been involved in the following cases:
FIR No. 166/2019 under Sections 8/35/20 of the NDPS Act.
FIR No. 115/2022 under Section 379 of the IPC.
FIR No. 275/2022 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act.
FIR No. 54/2024 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act.
FIR No. 110/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act.

Acting on another reliable input, Reasi Police apprehended Vipan Kumar, S/o Bittu Kumar, R/o Ward No. 02, Christian Colony, Reasi, who had allegedly consumed narcotic substances near Christian Colony. *Akhnoor Police Busts Alleged S*x Racket; Three Arrested*

In a significant operation against immoral trafficking, Akhnoor Police conducted a raid at a premises located in Ward No. 2, Kashmiri Mohalla, Akhnoor, following credible information regarding the alleged operation of a s*x racket.

Accordingly, FIR No. 164/2026 has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor under the relevant provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

During the operation, the following accused persons were arrested:

1. Ravi Gupta, S/o Gyan Chand, R/o Ward No. 2, Akhnoor (House Owner)
2. Sarishta Devi, W/o Darshan Sharma, R/o Chowki Choura, Akhnoor
3. Sahil Sharma, S/o Bihari Lal, R/o Sungal, Akhnoor

All the accused have been arrested in connection with FIR No. 164/2026, and further investigation is in progress to identify other persons involved, ascertain the full extent of the alleged illegal activities, and take appropriate legal action in accordance with law.

𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗜 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗩𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝟱𝟮-𝗔 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗗𝗣𝗦 𝗔𝗖𝗧




𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟬𝟭: Continuing its firm action against drug trafficking under the 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗸𝘁 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂 & 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗵𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗻, Reasi Police has taken another significant step by initiating proceedings for the disposal of a vehicle used in an NDPS case.

Today, Reasi Police obtained an order under Section 52-A of the NDPS Act from the Hon'ble Munsiff Court, Katra, for the disposal of a conveyance bearing registration No. JK02BV-7877, which was involved in FIR No. 162/2026 registered under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act.

The court order paves the way for further legal proceedings regarding the disposal of the seized vehicle in accordance with the provisions of the NDPS Act. This action reflects the commitment of Reasi Police to dismantle the infrastructure used in narcotics-related crimes and to ensure that assets involved in drug trafficking are dealt with strictly as per law.

Reasi Police reiterates its resolve to continue its sustained crackdown against drug peddlers and all those involved in the illegal narcotics trade, with the objective of making the district drug-free under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
