Matargashti

The Udaypur Wildlife Sanctuary is a peaceful, biodiversity-rich conservation area located in the West Champaran district of Bihar, India.

Established in 1978, this sanctuary covers an area of approximately 8.74 square kilometres and is situated on an oxbow lake in the floodplain of the Gandaki River.

The core of the sanctuary revolves around the Sareyaman Lake (Saraiya Man), a certified Ramsar site wetland known for its unique ecological importance and scenic beauty.
