Met with the Worthy Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Shri Minga Sherpa, IAS, today to discuss various issues of major public importance.
Our conversation centered on the urgent need for the construction of the Double -Lane Udhampur-Panchari-Lander-Galiote-Sawalkote Hydropower Project road, the maintenance of the Udhampur-Mansar-Kainthgali stretch, and the Udhampur-Tirshi Narore-Kainthgali road, alongside the vital main and link roads connecting the villages of Panchari-Lander-Galiote, Kainthgali-Moungri-Bariote-Gabbar, and Moungri-Ladda.
Beyond connectivity, our target is to focus on modernizing our power infrastructure through the RDSS (JPDCL) scheme, specifically requesting the replacement of approximately 2,500 aging wooden poles with safe, modern alternatives to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people. I also requested the remaining process for the commissioning of the 33 KV receiving station at Kotla (Panchari), the proper implementation of the 33 KV receiving station at Damnote (Moungri), the completion of pending electricity projects left untouched under PMDP, and the essential maintenance of PMGSY roads within the Panchari and Moungri blocks.

Met with the Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, regarding various issues related to the education sector in Panchari and Moungri areas. The discussion covered the commissioning of the new KGBV Basnote building and the upgradation of KGBV Basnote up to the 12th standard in a phased manner. It also included the construction of new buildings for GHSS Ladda, GHSS Lander, GHS Galiote, GHS Kheemti Ladda, GHS Kauri Ladda, GHS Parand, and other schools that are currently functioning in private or rented buildings due to inadequate infrastructure. The need for early commencement of work on GHS Panjar and fast-track ex*****on of the ₹2.74 crore project of GHSS Damnote was also highlighted. The issue of acute shortage of teaching staff was emphasized as a major concern that continues to impact the quality of education in the region.

Met with Executive Engineer JPDCL (PDD) Udhampur to discuss critical electricity-related issues concerning Panchari and Moungri blocks.
Submitted a detailed report of public requirements and sought additional support to address the damage caused by the recent rains, floods, and snowfall in the hilly areas.
Key points discussed included:
33 KV Receiving Station Kotla Grid and completion of 11 KV Lander Feeder.
Status of the ongoing 33 KV Receiving Station Damnote.
100% replacement of wooden poles under RDSS and other schemes.
Completion and commissioning of Arogh, Sansar, Tarsoo, Rali, Draud, Thugi, Siani Gutari, and Kamandi electricity stations.
Upgradation of overloaded stations and creation of new ones where required.
Strengthening electricity infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted power supply remain our top priorities, with every effort being made to achieve them through available resources.
