We give so much importance to Birthdays and Weddings. However, Retirement as a special milestone in a person's life is often ignored.

We decided to give a personalised retirement gift to my mother, Sukhversha, who retired after 23+ years of service to National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Retirement is a process of being redefined. When an employee leaves an institution, they leave a legacy depending on the crisis and circumstances they took on and overcame. We put so much effort into our work life and it is often the least understood aspect of our lives. We wanted to record and properly remember Maa and the contributions she made. We are proud of her and love her for setting an example for all of us to follow.

We are extremely thankful to her students, staff, colleagues who came forward to give her their message. The comment section is open below for people to leave their messages and wishes.
