Net neutrality: Trai receives 1 lakh emails to save the internet - The Times of India The chief bone of contention nowadays against net neutrality is Airtel’s Zero plan, which aims to give higher bandwidth to apps and websites whose owners are paying it extra money.
दूरसंचार कंपनी एयरटेल ने 'एयरटेल ज़ीरो' को लेकर 'नेट न्यूट्रैलिटी' के आधार पर शुरू हुई बहस को 'असंबद्ध' करार दिया है और कहा है कि यह पेशकश ग्राहकों को मोबाइल ऐप की नि:शुल्क पहुंच उपलब्ध कराने के लिए की गई है। एयरटेल ने इसी सप्ताह 'एयरटेल ज़ीरो' नामक नया मार्केटिंग प्लेटफॉर्म पेश करने की घोषणा की थी, जिसके जरिये ग्राहक अनेक मोबाइल ऐप का नि:शुल्क लाभ उठा सकते हैं, क्योंकि डेटा शुल्क का भुगतान संबद्ध ऐप कंपनियां करेंगी।
