I was upset to lose weight, then I saw an ad on TV, eat oats, lose weight, and without thinking or understanding, I ordered it, tried it, and thought Why am I not losing weight, what is the truth?
The answer is
Wheat, rice, and millet are all high in carbs and calories because they are intended to provide carbohydrates and fibre. A 100 gramme serving of oats contains 389 kcal, while a serving of rice contains 365 kcal. In terms of glycemic index, there are two types of oats, steel cut whose GI is 55 and instant whose GI is 83, while rice is 71.
