ଧିଗ୍ ଧିଗ୍ ଫାଲଂ ଭସ୍ମବିହୀନଂ ଧିଗ୍ ଧିଗ୍ ଗାତ୍ରଂ ଭସ୍ମ ରୁଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷହୀନମ୍।
ଧିଗ୍ ଧିଗ୍ ଚିତ୍ତଂ ଶିବଧ୍ୟାନଶୂନ୍ୟଂ ଧିଗ୍ ଧିଗ୍ ଗେହଂ ଲିଙ୍ଗସମ୍ବନ୍ଧହୀନମ୍।। (ଶିବ ରହସ୍ୟ)

ଶିବ ରହସ୍ୟ ଆଗମ ରେ କୁହାଯାଇଛି ଯିଏ ଲଲାଟ ରେ ଭସ୍ମ ଲେପନ ନକରି ଶିବାର୍ଚ୍ଚନ କରେ ତାକୁ ଧିକ୍କାର ଯେ ରୁଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷ ଭସ୍ମ ଲେପନ ନକରି ଶିବାର୍ଚ୍ଚନ କରେ ତାକୁ ଧିକ୍କାର। ଯାହାର ଚିତ୍ତ ରେ ଶିବ ଙ୍କ ଧ୍ୟାନ ଶ୍ଲୋକ ଗୁଞ୍ଜରିତ ନହୁଏ ତାକୁ ଧିକ୍କାର ଯାହାର ଗୃହ ରେ ଶିବଲିଙ୍ଗ ଙ୍କ ଭକ୍ତ ନଥାନ୍ତି ସେହି ଗୃହ କୁ ଧିକ୍କାର।

​The Forehead without Sacred Ash: "Shame upon the forehead that is not marked with Bhasma (sacred ash)." In Shaivism, Bhasma represents the transitory nature of the world and the purity that remains after the ego is burnt away.

​The Body without Sacred Symbols: "Shame upon the body that does not wear Bhasma or Rudraksha." These are not just ornaments; they are considered protective shields and physical connectors to Shiva’s energy.

​The Mind without Meditation: "Shame upon the mind (Chitta) that is void of meditation on Lord Shiva." A mind that doesn't reflect on the Divine is seen as being lost in the chaos of the material world.

​The Home without Devotion: "Shame upon the home where there is no connection to the Shivalinga (or where devotees of the Lingam do not reside)." A home is considered a temple; without a spiritual anchor, it is just a physical structure.

ଲିଙ୍ଗ ପୁରାଣ ଅନୁସାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମହାଦେବ ଙ୍କୁ ସୋମବାର ବ୍ରତ ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ପ୍ରିୟ। କୈଳାସପତି ଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ରେ କଠିନ ତପସ୍ୟା କରୁଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବର୍ଷ ସାରା ସୋମବାର ବ୍ରତ ପାଳନ କରୁଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରିୟ। ସୋମବାର ବ୍ରତ ତୁଳନା ରେ କୋଟି କୋଟି ଦାନ, ତୀର୍ଥ ମଧ୍ୟ ସମକକ୍ଷ ନୁହଁ। କେହି କେହି ସକାମ ଇଚ୍ଛା ପୂରଣ ପାଇଁ ଷୋହଳ ସୋମବାର କରନ୍ତି ମାତ୍ର ଏହା ତୁଳନା ରେ ବର୍ଷ ବ୍ୟାପୀ ପାଳିତ ସୋମବାର ବ୍ରତ କୁ ମହାଦେବ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ କହିଛନ୍ତି। ତେବେ ଏହାର ନିୟମ ଏହି ଯେ ପ୍ରାତଃ କାଳ ରେ ସ୍ନାନ ଏବଂ ଗୃହ ଦେବତା ଙ୍କ ପୂଜନ କରି ଶିବ ଆଳୟ ଦର୍ଶନ ପୂର୍ବକ ଏହି ବ୍ରତ କରାଯାଏ। ଦିନ କୁ ଥରେ ମାତ୍ର ହବିଷ ଅନ୍ନ ବା ଫଳ ଆହାର ସହିତ ରାତ୍ର ରେ ଜଳ ପାନ କରି ଏହା କରାଯାଏ। ଅଶକ୍ତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ରାତ୍ର ରେ ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଆଦି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିପାରିବେ, ଏହି ବ୍ରତ ରେ ଔଷଧ , ପଞ୍ଚାମୃତ, ଦେବତା ଙ୍କ ପ୍ରସାଦ ଆଦି ଗ୍ରହଣ ରେ ଦୋଷ ନାହିଁ। ଶ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ମହାଦେବ ସୋମବାର ବ୍ରତ କରୁଥିବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ର ସମସ୍ତ ଦାୟିତ୍ବ ବହନ କରନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଦିନ ପ୍ରାତଃ ଏବଂ ସାୟଂ କାଳ ରେ ଦ୍ଵାଦଶ ଜ୍ୟୋତିର୍ଲିଙ୍ଗ ଙ୍କ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ତଥା କେବଳ ଉମାକାନ୍ତ ମହାଦେବ ହର ହର ମହାଦେବ ଏହି ନାମ ସ୍ମରଣ ଦ୍ଵାରା ଦିବସ ନିର୍ବାହ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍।🌺
