MKM Architecture

The intention was to blur the line between furniture and architecture. Built-ins integrate seamlessly into the room, allowing materials and proportions to lead the experience. With sunlight washing over the surfaces, the space shifts from sculptural to intimate across the day.

There’s something special about a room that comes alive with natural light. As the sun moves across the day, textures deepen, colors warm up, and the space feels almost different without changing a single object. This living room was designed to be quiet, comfortable, and timeless, allowing light to do most of the storytelling. Soft upholstery, warm wood, and subtle accents create a setting that feels relaxed yet refined. Sometimes good design isn’t about adding more. It’s about creating a space that responds beautifully to the simplest thing, daylight.
