What is the Difference Between WTI and OTI in a Transformer?

In transformer operation and protection, both WTI (Winding Temperature Indicator) and OTI (Oil Temperature Indicator) play a vital role. Although they appear similar, they monitor different parameters and serve different purposes.

WTI (Winding Temperature Indicator)

Measures the hottest spot temperature of the transformer winding.
