Primary health check up at Yashwantnagar - Santacruz....Considering the high prevalence of NCD's , screening for BP and Sugar is a regular feature at Uplift's primary health care centres in Mumbai slums. Today we had a member who had come for some other health issue but on checking her BP it was 186/106 mm/Hg. Surprisingly she was already on anti hypertensive medicines. Members have to be counselled for regular check ups even if they are on medication.
