Thriving Teachers Collective
What helps teachers thrive?
This question has stayed with me for years.
Not because teaching lacks solutions, strategies, or resources. But because thriving seems to require something deeper.
I've seen it in my own journey as a teacher, principal, and teacher educator. I've seen it in the educators I've worked alongside. And I've seen it in the communities where teachers felt supported, understood, and connected.
Thriving isn't about having all the answers.
It's about having the space to reflect.
The courage to ask better questions.
The support of a community.
And frameworks that help us make sense of the complex realities of teaching.
That's why I created Thriving Teachers Collective.
A space for teachers who want to move beyond survival mode and engage more deeply with their practice, their wellbeing, their students, and the changing landscape of education.
If this resonates with you, I'd love to have you here.
Five years ago, I started Play First with a commitment to creating joyful and meaningful learning experiences for children.
Over time, one truth became impossible to ignore: thriving classrooms are created by thriving teachers.
While play, playfulness, and lightheartedness remain at the heart of everything I do, my work has expanded to supporting educators, communities, and school cultures that help children flourish.
So now, Play First is becoming ‘Thriving Teachers Collective’.
Play First was how the journey began. Thriving Teachers Collective is where the journey is leading.
The mission remains the same: supporting high-quality learning opportunities and environments for children.
The path forward is bigger: empowering many more teachers to create playful, child-centred learning spaces where both children and adults can thrive.
