I am seeing many lawyers and advocates mostly young advocates sharing screenshots of their ecourts services case status and writing captions like successfully got bail or won the battle in so and so act(POCSO or NDPS) etc. I don't know how much they know, but it is illegal in soliciting to advertise your victories to lure clients towards you. You are indirectly telling people that if you are stuck in such an act come to us, we can bail you out.
An advocate's professional conduct is governed by the Advocates Act, 1961 and the Bar Council of India (BCI) Rules.

Key points you should know:

1. Restriction on Advertising & Solicitation
Under Rule 36, Section IV of the BCI Rules, an advocate is prohibited from advertising or soliciting work directly or indirectly.
This includes publishing achievements in a way that looks like a self-promotion campaign.

2. What about Social media
Advocates are allowed to maintain a simple professional presence online (name, qualifications, enrollment, contact details).

But publicly posting case statuses, outcomes, or claiming "we won this case" can be seen as touting/advertising, especially if it looks like you’re marketing your success to attract clients.
Beware of the Bar association level, legal proceedings that can eventually lead to temporary suspension. Instead of that share the knowledgeable pointers that you collect out of that case which will help the youngsters like me in stepping up.
