This groundbreaking work specifically needs to be highlighted among the students across the educational institutions in India and also emphasise the importance of research in the field of astronomy.The major objectives of the Documentary Series on Astronomy Research in India are to:

• Increase scientific awareness and temperament.
• Showcase research work being carried out by Scientist in India in the field of Astronomy.
• Promote astronomy education to the masses through all means of communication (television, website, exhibition, online video sharing platforms etc).
• Make aware of the research areas and facilities available in research institutes across the nation.
• Get youth fascinated to admire and appreciate the beauty of the cosmos through landscape Astrophotography.
• Highlighting some of the celestial events and eradicating the superstitions associated with them (eclipses, planetary alignments, comet visits etc). We look forward for volunteers to join the Astroproject and help us to make the project a great success. Volunteers will be needed in a variety of roles in popularizations of films, organizing documentary films screening, School programs, and creating awareness by communicating the excitement of astronomy to educators and the general public. We are also looking forward for your contribution in terms of high resolution Astronomy images, time-lapse, articles, development of astronomy kits for schools.
