What is Psoriasis Disease?
Psoriasis, an auto-immune disorder, occurs when the immune system harms the body's functioning cells. Our skin takes approximately 28 to 45 days to develop, i.e., skin cell turnover time. In the event of a psoriasis disease, the immune system slows down the rate of skin cell turnover, delaying the development of the skin occasionally. Therefore, the patient starts to see dead skin cell patches, i.e., psoriasis patches on the skin. These patches turn red and cause irritation. In addition, the skin sheds off the dead cells from the skin in the form of flax, causing more irritation.
