RBI’s Key Policy Rate Hike will hit property sales:CREDAI

RBI hiked key policy rate by 25bps on 28th Jan to curb Inflation, a move that would encourage banks to increase home loan interest rates further. Real estate developers and industry leaders feel this hike will impact sales and pressure on the property market.

"We are very very disappointed. This will bring more suffering to developers community. "It seems that market will see its bottom in terms of sales and liquidity, and then there may be an effort to revive the economy and market in an intense manner” says Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) Chairman Lalit Kumar Jain told PTI.
