Operation Shanti

Mahadevaiah is home! See our post on February 21 for the back story.
After a bit of a delay (it happens in India), Mahadevaiah finally made it back home to his wife this month. She wondered what had happened to him after he failed to return home for months. He also was unable to tell us where he was from until this year. Maha spent months under our care after being found emaciated and near death on the city streets.
Again, thank you for your support. With your support, we were able to get Mahadevaiah medical attention and shelter, where he rested and let his body heal, finally to return home.

We found Venkatesh on the roadside in mid-March this year. He had a very bad head laceration that needed medical attention, who cleaned the wounds and had him return every day for about two weeks for daily cleanings and dressings. Venkatesh stayed with us at Kumari's Ashram since he had nowhere else to go.
Once Venkatesh felt better, he told us that he's from Hyderabad, where his three kids and wife live. He was ready to return to them, so we got his train ticket and said our goodbyes. Once home, his family called to say thank you because he had been gone for two years and they thought he was dead.
Your support helps our destitute, missing individuals find their way back home.
