If the Epstein files had mentioned Rahul Gandhi instead of Modi, Indian prime-time TV would have turned into a screaming circus by now.
Anchors would be shouting, panels would be shouting louder, and hashtags would be “breaking news” for weeks.
But when the spotlight even slightly points toward those in power, the same media suddenly discovers silence, “due process,” and selective patriotism.
This isn’t journalism.
This is loyalty disguised as news.
A free press questions everyone equally, especially the powerful.
A compromised press protects the throne and distracts the public with noise, nationalism, and non-issues.
Democracy doesn’t die in one day.
It dies slowly—when journalists stop asking questions and viewers stop noticing the double standards.
The real issue is not one name in one file.
The issue is who the media chooses to shout at… and who they choose to shield.
