Connect a Charger if you are doing power intensive task like games or rendering work etc, It will give you a performance boost and won’t let your laptop shut down amid everything which I personally find very annoying.

Use a cooling pad as It decreases temperatures and lets you take more performance from your laptop.

Never rest your laptop on cloth or anything that traps heat, use a solid surface. Elevate your laptop from the points where there are heat exhausts if possible.

Always be careful with the screen hinge of the laptop as it is the one of the most vulnerable parts of it.
