In Second Nature — which Page narrates and co-produces — scientists walk us through the over 1,500 animal species that engage in same-s*x behaviour, change s*x, raise young in q***r pairs and form matriarchies. Penguins. Albatross. Clownfish. Bonobos. The entire animal kingdom didn't get the memo about "biological reality."
Page told reporters this week: "This idea that nature is organized around a cis heteronormative system is just completely false."

He also spoke about the shame and isolation he carried as a Q***r kid: "you feel like you are alone, even, of course, in retrospect, you're not — you weren't. You feel excluded, you feel like something's wrong with you."

Which is exactly why he wanted to make this. So a Q***r kid somewhere catches it — and feels less alone.
