The "Golden Arrows" are the No. 17 Squadron of the Indian Air Force (IAF), an elite fighter squadron resurrected in 2019 to fly the Dassault Rafale multi-role fighter jets, stationed at Air Force Station Ambala. Formed in 1951, the squadron was temporarily disbanded in 2016 before being revived to operate the first batch of India's new Rafales, playing a key role in modernizing the IAF's combat capabilities with its precision strike and multi-role ability, highlighted by its involvement in Operation Sindoor
