NIMAS Dirang isn’t just about rafting though, from mountaineering, paragliding, skiing, scuba diving, mountain biking to survival courses… this place literally trains you for adventure in every terrain 🇮🇳
From the 14th century Chakzam Bridge to the world’s second largest monastery, this journey took me through layers of history, faith, borders, and identity.
Tawang Monastery shared deep religious ties with Tibet for centuries, and the 14th Dalai Lama passed through here after escaping Tibet in 1959.
Yet today, Tawang remains an integral part of India 🇮🇳 and Arunachal Pradesh.
