When astronomy meets entrepreneurship, possibilities multiply.
This week, we hosted the Astropreneurship Bootcamp at the Innovation Hub, Regional Science Centre, Coimbatore — a two-day journey where first-generation women graduates transformed their ideas into real, market-ready ventures.
From jewelellry inspired by constellations, to galaxy-themed chocolates, and even a pop-up astronomy café — our participants explored how science, creativity, and business can come together to spark new livelihoods.
With guidance from Anupama Pradeepan (CWAPC Project Lead) and Merin Alias (Fundraising & Communication Officer, Sanchethana | Founder, Café Ela Luan), the women worked hands-on on:

This bootcamp is a launchpad for women-led, astronomy-themed enterprises under the C-STERC Women Astropreneurs’ Collective (CWAPC). The next step? Market research, prototypes, and seed funding. These young women are now ready to create impact, one starry idea at a time.

📌 On 28th August 2025, we proudly conducted the program “Science to Start-up: Exploring the Cosmos and Beyond” at Shrimathi Devkunvar Nanalal Bhatt Vaishnav College for Women (Autonomous).

✨ The session introduced students to the fascinating world of Space Science and its potential to spark innovation and entrepreneurship in the cosmos sector.

🌟 With the enthusiastic participation of 250 students, the program created a platform to inspire curiosity, foster innovation, and encourage the next generation of leaders in science and technology.
