I shot this frame in Mangan, Sikkim, in December 2023 — just weeks after the devastating floods.
The waters had taken bridges, homes, and lives.
But the children… they chose to play.
They found joy where chaos had lived, hope where loss had struck.

This is why I believe photography is more than just images — it’s memory, witness, and meaning.

On this World Photography Day, with the theme “My Favourite Photo”, I share this frame as a reminder:
👉 Even after destruction, life insists on going on.
