Position: Head Learning & Development
Level & Span : General Manager, Pan India
Reports to : Chief People Officer
Key Focus Areas:
• Employee Development, Capability building, Drive Company Culture across board , Contribute in increase of Sales & Productivity through Learning interventions, Implement E-Learning as an effective tool and ensure the Training Man-days are successfully delivered
Purpose:
• Frame the L & D Policy for India
• To drive Bestseller’s 10 Basic Principles at all times
• Ensure that Customer Service of very high standards are infused at the Store Level staff consistently across all stores & SIS sales teams
• Create a process for training needs analysis, content development, post training monitoring, and training process audit. The process should capture employee development at all employee touch points starting from orientation
• Create a competency framework for Talent Management and retention through various experiential learning simulations
• Ensure Knowledge Enhancement of all the high potential employees – both at the Head office as well as in Sales Team
• Finalize & manage the L & D budgets with a periodic reviews
• Review the performances of all External Vendors/Consultants and create a Feedback mechanism for higher productivity
Retail Operations Support :
• To act as a central point of contact for all training related activities at the Head office & Sales force(Stores)
• Inter-act with all External Vendors for finalization of the calendar, content and deliverables
• Create a culture of assessments and run both Long-term & Short-term Developmental programs
• Act as the custodian for the Yearly Training calendar and ensure all deadlines are successfully met
• To facilitate the design of E-Learning modules for Induction and other necessary trainings required for the Sales team across the country
• Facilitate and raise the bar for the existing ROMT program year on year for attracting the best talent at the Campus interviews
• Build competency and skill Inventory framework for all operations profile and build a pipeline for rare skills required for internal positions
• Tie-up with other professional bodies and Institutes on Fashion & Retail management courses for employee’s Long term development.
• Ensure training practices result in enhanced performance of store sales team by having a good pre and post training audit strategy
• Facilitate nominations to external workshops & conferences for Knowledge import on the Industry best practices
• Ensure reporting of training ROIs to the Top management team and conduct proper analysis on the MIS reports for a timely action
• Ensure Yearly updation of the L & D handbook and other publications
• Ensure Mystery audits are conducted by internal L & D team members to gauge the ground situation followed by a robust training action plan
• Work very closely with HR and Sales Heads to create a canvas for future leadership development

• Ability to connect with various levels from a VP level to the Frontline Manager level
