One sunlit Saturday we went for a walk about town with the camera. We discovered a diverse crowd hanging around in the cafes, restaurants, flowering boulevards and public gardens. Tel Aviv is not reserved only for those who live there, and some of the people we've met are from out of town. Yet they come to Tel Aviv on their days off to see and be seen, to enjoy the atmosphere the city has to offer. We would like to thank all of the couples that agreed to have their picture taken, without planning or preparations. The results are before you! Wishing one and all a happy holiday!

שבת שמשמית אחת יצאנו להסתובב ברחובות תל אביב עם המצלמה. גילינו ערב רב של אנשים בבתי הקפה, המסעדות, השדרות המוריקות והגינות הציבוריות. תל אביב היא לא רק עבור התל אביבים, וחלק מהאנשים איתם שוחחנו הם בכלל לא מהעיר אבל מגיעים אליה כדי לראות ולהראות, לספוג קצת אווירה וצבע. אנו מודים לכל הזוגות שהסכימו להצטלם בלי הכנה ובלי גינונים. התוצאות לפניכםן! ננצל הזדמנות זו כדי לאחל לכולכםן חג אביב שמח ונעים!

Eyar and Nicolas live and move from a shared belief in the power of motion to motivate the body as well as the soul. What started as a chance encounter at the Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater, while Eyar was working there as an usher and Nicolas was performing, developed over time into a journey towards a common way of living. When they met about a year later, entirely by chance, while riding their bikes on the streets of Tel Aviv, they realized that there’s definitely room for deepening their acquaintance. By the way, Eyar and Nicolas continue riding their bikes religiously reaching all areas of Tel Aviv from their apartment of the last 2.5 years in the southern Shapira neighbourhood. The dynamics between Eyar and Nicolas reflects to an extent the neighbourhood where they chose to live: renewable, eclectic, fundamental. The energy is pleasant and at the same time different, interesting. The choice of movement as a way of life corresponds with the motion we witness in recent years in neighbourhoods like Shapira, which has been drawing a young, creative crowd these past several years. The apartment where they live is where Eyar’s studio is as well. Nicolas trains using a unique method, combining different schools and approaches, and prefers training outdoors. And yet, once a week, they meet at the apartment to train together following Nicolas’ approach. The apartment is not big, and the studio takes up a large part of the space. But that doesn’t bother anyone. As a matter of fact, Eyar says that her favourite sounds is when Nicolas starts preparing dinner in the kitchen, while she is in the studio, teaching.

אייר וניקולאס חיים וזזים מתוך אמונה משותפת בכוח של תנועה להניע את הגוף כמו גם את הנפש. מה שהתחיל כהיכרות מקרית במרכז סוזן דלל, בזמן שאייר עבדה כסדרנית במרכז וניקולאס הופיע, התפתח לאורך זמן למסע בדרך חיים משותפת. כאשר הם נפגשו שוב כשנה לאחר מכן, לגמרי במקרה, בזמן רכיבה על אופניים ברחובות תל אביב, הבינו שיש מקום להעמיק את ההיכרות ביניהם. הרכיבה על האופניים, אגב, ממשיכה ללוות את השניים, שרוכבים לכל מקום בעיר מדירתם בשנתיים וחצי האחרונות בשכונת שפירא הדרומית. הדינאמיקה בין אייר לניקולאס משקפת במידה מסויימת את השכונה שהם בחרו לגור בה: מתחדשת, אקלקטית, יסודית. האנרגיה נעימה ובאותו הזמן שונה, מעניינת. הבחירה בתנועה כאורח חיים מתכתבת היטב עם התנועה בשכונות כמו שכונת שפירא, שמושכת קהל צעיר ויצירתי בשנים האחרונות. הדירה בה הם גרים משמשת גם כסטודיו לפילאטיס של אייר. ניקולאס מאמן בשיטה ייחודית, המשלבת גישות שונות, ומעדיף להתאמן מחוץ לבית או לסטודיו, במרחבים הפתוחים. ובכל זאת, אחת לשבוע, הם נפגשים לאימון משותף בדירתם בשיטתו של ניקולאס. הדירה אינה גדולה, והסטודיו תופס חלק משמעותי מהמרחב. אבל אין בכך משום גורם מפריע, להיפך. אייר מספרת שהצליל שהיא הכי אוהבת זה כשניקולאס מתחיל להכין ארוחת ערב בזמן שהיא בסלון, בסטודיו, מלמדת.
