A few years ago, our connection to Greece was mostly personal - we just loved being there🍹

Over time, that changed.

Through festivals and collaborations, we kept coming back, and gradually, it became part of how we work too.

Along the way, we found:
➡ A growing, supportive animation community
➡ Strong incentives (up to 40% cash rebate)
➡ A flexible and evolving production environment

But more than anything, it was the people that made it stick.

Today, we’re working more closely within the local ecosystem, including through our Athens studio, building projects together with local partners.

Our new 4-country co-production is a short film by Mark Sperber (Netflix, Sony Pictures, DreamWorks), based on his great-uncle Oskar Knoblauch’s memoir of surviving the Holocaust, "A Boy’s Story, A Man’s Memory."
It tells the story of a young boy’s first heartbreak, as he loses his friend to hate.

Currently in pre-production, Oska is a co-production between Carolyn Bates, The Hive Studio, The Hidden Institute and Fly Moustache

Announcing an exciting new collaboration with Chronicle Studios on two of our series: Vampair and The Normal Mfer!

Oscar-Nominated Animation Studio The Hive Taps AI Media Tech Co. Chronicle Studios for YouTube Partnership | Animation Magazine The Hive Studio has teamed with AI media tech firm Chronicle Studios to manage YouTube channels for 'The Vampair' and 'The Normal MFer.'

This is Arlequino, one half of the main duo of Arlequino & Pierrot, our new production.
He’s cheerful, bright-hearted, bursting with optimism and hopeless romance.

We’ve been working closely with Navy Bird's original designs to shape Arlequino into a character we can animate for the film.

In the images, you can follow the steps from Navy’s early sketches to our final version (turnaround, lip sync, and finished character).
