How to line brush your long coated dog

⚠ Attention all Doodle, Spoodle, Oodle or Cavoodle owners! ⚠ Are you brushing properly? 🐩 Check out these helpful tips and demonstration using the Chris Christensen Big G Slicker and Buttercomb. 👏 Tips below and video from Goldendoodle @theb0badiaries - Yes, I recommend investing in high quality tools, if you are using these daily on your dog, you will want something to last his lifetime and you don’t want poor quality that can cause brush burn and hurt your dog causing them to associate brushing with pain/discomfort - Brush AND Comb, please do not leave out the comb step, this is your final step to check that you have not missed any mats 🙏 😅 - Desensitize your puppy early to grooming, with lots of treats & praise - Schedule regular professional grooming sessions, I take Boba every 3-4 weeks. I know this is not for everyone. Every dog and owner is different, discuss with your groomer something that works best for you - Make sure in every step of line brushing , you are brushing down to the skin (I like to always use both my hands so that I have more control over the dog, and so that you can hold down part of the hair as you go to prevent tugging on the skin) - Find a coat length that is manageable and realistic to your lifestyle, the shorter the length, the less the amount of maintenance 😊 #doggrooming #doggroomingnz #doggroomingtips #goldendoodle #doodle #chrischristensen
