For the month of July, weโ€™ll be moving to a Reformer-only Pilates timetable.

With our Pilates Teacher Training courses running throughout the month, weโ€™re making a few temporary changes to ensure a smooth transition between courses and classes while maintaining a consistent, high-quality experience for everyone.

The positive side of this change is that weโ€™ll be able to offer additional Reformer class availability on Saturdays throughout July, giving more people the opportunity to experience the benefits of Reformer Pilates.

To make the transition a little easier for our Mat Pilates clients, weโ€™re also introducing a special July Reformer Pass:

โœจ 8 Reformer Classes for โ‚ฌ100 โœจ

Whether youโ€™re completely new to Reformer or youโ€™ve been thinking about giving it a try, July is the perfect opportunity.

We know many of you love our Mat Pilates classes, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this temporary adjustment to support our summer teacher training programme.

We look forward to moving with you this July ๐Ÿ’›

A member said something to me recently that got me thinking.

She was saying that her sister is coming to our classes 2-3 times a week and loves them but sheโ€™s been encouraging her to get to the gym too because she needs to be doing some resistance training.

And sheโ€™s absolutely right, women need strength training, especially during perimenopause and menopause.

But it made me realise that a lot of people donโ€™t know that what we do in Reformer Pilates IS strength training.

The springs on the reformer provide resistance, which means your muscles are working against a load, just like they would in the gym.

We also use props like dumbbells, kettlebells, Pilates balls, bands and the magic circle in our classes to build strength, improve balance and support bone health.

So do you really need a gym membership to strength train?

Absolutely not!

If youโ€™re attending Reformer Pilates consistently, youโ€™re already doing resistance training.

The most important thing is finding a form of strength training that you enjoy and will stick to.

For many women, thatโ€™s Reformer Pilates. ๐Ÿ’›

Have you ever thought of Pilates as strength training?
